Returning to Work Resources
We don’t know how much longer we’ll all be practicing social distancing and how much longer we’ll have to stay closed for in-person services. As we continue to ramp up all our electronic resources, here are some things to keep in mind as we get ready to restore services.
- Requirements for maintaining a healthy/sanitary environment for worker (From Governor Holcomb’s Executive Order 20-08)
- Cleaning surfaces
- New coronavirus stable for hours on surfaces: from National Institutes of Health
- Facebook group: Libraries Step Up (in times of crisis)
- Reviewing cleaning and collections care policies from American Alliance of Museums
- CDC – Guidance for Employers Interim Guidance for Businesses and Employers to Plan and Respond to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)
- A Guide for Public Libraries for all hazards
- IMLS webinar with CDC epidemiologists (note: transmission via materials is of low concern. If you can leave materials untouched for up to 24 hours, that should take care of most of the issues.)
Plans for returning to work:
- FEMA Reconstitution Plan Template (Opens a Word Document for editing)
- Public Health Principles for a Phased Reopening During COVID-19:Guidance for Governors
