Task Force on Remote Access to and Privacy of Electronic Court Records
Purpose
The Advisory Task Force on Remote Access to and Privacy of Electronic Court Records was created by Supreme Court order on February 3, 2016. Under the auspices of the Records Management Committee and Court Technology, the Task Force will undertake a renewed study of best practices and policies on Internet access to electronic court records. In conducting its work, the Task Force should consider the purposes articulated in Indiana Administrative Rule 9(A)(2).

2017 Written Report
The Task Force's 2017 written report of findings and recommendations was reviewed by the Court and implementation of certain recommendations was directed by order on July 6, 2018.
2016 Written Report
The Task Force was directed to provide an initial written report, with findings and recommendations, to the Records Management Committee and to Justice Steve David and Judge Paul Mathias as the leaders of the Court's technology initiatives, not later than September 1, 2016.
Public comments on the Task Force's report were accepted through December 1, 2016. On February 7, 2017, the Supreme Court issued an order directing the implementation of the Task Force's recommendations. Implementation was amended by order on February 10, 2017. Additional implementation was directed by order on February 16, 2018.
