COMPLAINT ANALYST � Consumer Affairs Division

 

����������� The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) is seeking a Complaint Analyst responsible for the day-to-day management of complaints and inquiries that involve ratepayers of regulated Indiana utilities.

 

The Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission�s (the IURC) mission is to assure that utilities and others use adequate planning and resources for the provision of safe and reliable utility services at reasonable cost.The Consumer Affairs Division ensures that both the utility and the customer comply with the provisions of the Indiana Administrative Code (IAC), which details the rules for utility service quality and customer rights and responsibilities.For more information about the IURC and Consumer Affairs Division, visit the website at www.in.gov/iurc.

 

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • First point of contact with ratepayer customer initiating a complaint.
  • Serve as a primary source in gathering information to respond to ratepayer;
  • Manage a high volume of correspondence/data/information from customers and utilities;
  • Enter information into complaints database in a timely manner;
  • Monitor and track pending caseload;
  • Communicate on a routine basis with staff, utility representatives, other state agencies;
  • Enforce and administer IURC rules and regulations.

 

 

Education and Experience

  • Associate�s degree or equivalent credit hours preferred but will substitute Customer Service certification and/or relevant work experience;
  • Must demonstrate an ability to excel with limited supervision as well as in a workgroup setting;
  • Organization, accuracy, consistency and clarity are required;
  • Demonstrate superior capabilities to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Experience with databases and Microsoft Office
