ISO 17025/ANAB Accreditation

On May 11th, 2019, ANSI-National Accreditation Board (ANAB) granted the Indiana State Department of Toxicology (ISDT) accreditation in the Field of Forensic Testing and Calibration, which includes testing by the analytical laboratory and inspection and certification of breath test instruments. ISDT now joins a select group of accredited national and international forensic laboratories. As stated in ANAB's notification letter to ISDT, "Achieving accreditation is a result of an extensive commitment of resources and much preparation by management and personnel of the entire organization."

Accreditation is an ongoing process through which each year a surveillance or reassessment of ISDT's operations will occur. A complete reassessment occurs every four years.
