Natural resource education is important the Hendricks County SWCD. In 2013, soil health and water quality were the focus of several education programs and events, summarized below.

Ag Day with Purdue Extension was held on March 20—790 fourth grade students and 31 teachers from Avon River Birch, Cedar, Hickory, & Sycamore, Danville South, Pittsboro, North Salem, and Bethesda Elementary
