Hands on Cover Crops
Our District started a cost share program a few years ago when awarded a CWI Grant for cover crops. In discussing cover crops with producers several seemed to not be familiar with seeds we recommended and their development. With permission from the landowner of the USDA Service Center a demonstration plot was started. The plot has proven very helpful to show producers the different types of cover crops available and gives them the opportunity to discuss the best options for their farming operation.
