2017 Accomplishments Crawford County Soil & Water Conservation District with county, state and federal cost share and incentive programs

2017 marked another successful year for the implementation of conservation practices on agricultural land in Crawford County.  These practices address soil erosion and water quality concerns as well as enhance air quality and wildlife habitat.  The following practices were applied this past year through the various federal, state and county conservation programs.

Heavy Use Area Protection—2

Many other conservation practices planned in previous years continue to be used and implemented on thousands of acres of farmland.  The conservation staff and the Soil & Water Conservation District Supervisors thank all those who implement and maintain sound land stewardship practices on their farms that preserve and protect Indiana’s precious natural resources.
