ACTIONS HAVE IMPACTS! Clay County SWCD had another successful tree giveaway. In 2016, CCSWCD tree seedling customers picked up 263 Cypress trees, 268 Persimmon trees, 223 Tulip Poplar trees and 134 Walnut trees. This is a total of 888 trees. In addition to our Annual Tree Giveaway, CCSWCD has also partnered with surrounding county SWCD’s and the Sycamore Trails RC&D Forestry, Invasive and Education Committee to bring a Forestry/Invasive Education Workshop in the Spring and the Fall on an annual basis. This event has a variety of topics from workshop to workshop and is attended by interested citizens in surrounding counties with in our region.
