LinkedIn Learning is a helpful asset to state employees that offers training opportunities in various fields, 
including; business, creative and technology-related areas. Most of the classes are completed via video and are led by experts in the given field. In total, there are more than 5,000 courses available on LinkedIn Learning.
Employees can access LinkedIn Learning without a LinkedIn account.

For users with an active LinkedIn account:
Enter your email address and password associated with your LinkedIn Account, click on the Learning icon, and you will be redirected to the LinkedIn Learning homepage.
For users without an active LinkedIn account:
Select “Do not connect my account”. This will redirect the employee to the LinkedIn Learning Platform.
Your LinkedIn Learning account has now been setup via Single Sign-On. You will automatically be logged into your LinkedIn Learning account when you visit the site.
Every agency under the State Personnel Department’s umbrella has a LinkedIn Learning license. If you don’t have access quite yet, you will soon! You will then have a variety of informational videos to aid you in your professional career.
Did you know that in 2018 the FAQs on IN.gov were viewed 1,948,816 times? Did you also know, that last year, there were 600,000 more views compared to 2017? FAQs are a quick, easy way for citizens and customers to find information about your agency and they are heavily used.
Updating or developing new FAQs is an easy process. Go to https://soi.formstack.com/forms/faq_template and complete the form. The information will be sent to the State Information Center, which manages the FAQs. The form can also be used to delete a question that is no longer applicable.
How can I view our existing FAQs?
Go to https://www.in.gov/core/, scroll down to the footer, and under Quick Information, click on IN.gov FAQs: https://faqs.in.gov/hc/en-us.
You can then select the category your agency is in or use the search bar and type in your agency name.
Jabber is capable of delivering instant messaging, voice and video calls, voice messaging, desktop sharing and conferencing. You create your list of contacts, see whether that contact is available and collaborate. One of the great features of Jabber is the ability to share your computer screen with a coworker.
Sharing your screen with others
1.Click on the person’s name you wish to collaborate with.
2. In the upper right hand corner, press this icon
3. This Share Screen box will appear.
a. Click on Display1 and this will send a notification to the person you wish to collaborate with. If accepted, you should see a red border around the active screen you are sharing.
4. Here, the person will see your screen and it will say “Presenting” in the upper right hand corner.
5. Start collaborating!
Data Day returned to the Indiana Statehouse this month where the IOT billing department presented a more detailed, easier IOT Billing Dashboard for customers’ invoices.
The event, hosted by the Management Performance Hub (MPH), is free for anyone to attend and is an annual showcase of data-driven initiatives from state government and partner organizations. Featuring more than 25 displays of creative and effective data usage, this event plants seeds of innovation to continue improving outcomes for Hoosiers.
Experts were available to chat with attendees, and explain how data is driving state operations and informing policy-making issues like combating the opioid epidemic, education/workforce development, government transparency, and Medicaid.
The IOT Billing Department had their dashboard on full display, which offers a simple set of graphics and tabular representations of an agency’s billed services with the capability of filtering and outputting the underlying data. Pinnacle, the current billing application, takes more steps to accomplish the same thing the dashboard does.The dashboard is published online and does not require special software to view it. Each page is designed to be interactive, which means clicking on a portion of a chart or table filters all of the data on the page.
Data Day also celebrates MPH’s innovative approach to fostering a culture of collaboration and data-driven decision making between state agencies and key trusted partners. Data continues to play an increasingly important role in state government.

Each year the state submits great projects and people for award recognition. One of those awards is from Statescoop, which allows for public voting. This year Indiana has one project and seven people

If you had to guess, how many emails do you think come to the state each day? If you answered more than 150,000, you were close. On average, in the first two months of 2019 the state received a little more than 153,000 emails each day. IOT scans each of those messages, plus all outbound emails, in case a worker's machine gets infected, to help make sure our staff is secure from viruses and phishing messages.
While the state receives a lot of email, a majority of those are actually blocked. In the first two months of 2019, IOT blocked 4,747,759 emails and allowed 4,290,210 emails. There were an additional 21,674 blocked emails that contained viruses. We will continue to do our best to make sure your staff is secure by blocking malicious emails and conducting monthly cybersecurity training.
