77 Fund Annual Member Statement - Questions and Answers

What information is on my annual member statement?

The annual statements provided to police and firefighters include information on the mandatory employee contribution to the fund.  These statements also include years of service and dependant information. Statements reflect account activity from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012.

What are Mandatory Employee Contributions?

‘77 Fund members must contribute 6 percent of their base salary. This is the amount listed under “Mandatory Employee Contributions”, “Employee Withheld” on the statement.

What is theEmployer Paid on Behalf of Employee” line?

In some cases, the employer has elected to pay the employee contribution, or a portion of it, on behalf of the member. In those cases, the amount paid is listed on the statement under “Mandatory Employee Contributions”, “Employer Paid on Behalf of Employee”. In all other cases, the amount in this line is zero.

What should I do with this statement?

Please make it a point to review your statement closely, including service credit information.
