Section 2 runs from S.R. 64 near Oakland City to U.S. 50 just east of Washington and is approximately 29 miles in length. The Record of Decision was received on April 30, 2010. Sections 2 and 3 were designed and constructed using a combination of Design-Build and Design-Bid-Build contracts. Section 2 was divided into 7 construction contracts with two bridge-only Design-Build contracts and the remaining five as Design-Bid-Build contracts.
Section 2 is now open to traffic.
