The Indiana Department of Transportation has initiated a study of transportation needs and opportunities in the U.S. 50 corridor in Dearborn, Indiana. The objectives of this study are to assess the feasibility of improvements to the U.S. 50 corridor between Dilsboro and the IN-1/I-275/US-50 junction east of Lawrenceburg as well as other alternatives for improving mobility in eastern Dearborn County. Specifically, the study will:

  • Establish the need for improving the US-50 corridor within the study area (including Dillsboro, Aurora, Greendale, and Lawrenceburg);
  • Develop and analyze basic improvement alternatives including a comprehensive evaluation of the transportation, economic, and social impacts of these alternatives; and
  • Make recommendations to INDOT on the programming of improvement projects.
