S.R. 109 Pavement Rehabilitation Project
The Indiana Department of Transportation announces that pavement rehabilitation work has moved to a new phase on State Road 109 in Wilkinson. The closure on S.R. 109 is now in a reduced area, between H Street and County Road 650 N. This closure is expected to be in place through mid-November. The official detour follows State Road 234, State Road 9, and I-70. The S.R. 109 Pavement Rehabilitation Project in Wilkinson aims to restore the existing roadway and includes full-depth road reconstruction, improved drainage, and sidewalk reconstruction. The project is expected to be complete by the end of 2027. INDOT reminds drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and use extra caution while traveling in and around work zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
