S.R. 327 Correction in DeKalb County
A project to correct the curve conditions on S.R. 327 in DeKalb County, between County Road (CR) 34 and CR 36, is scheduled for the 2018 construction season. The project will realign curves that currently form 90-degree junctions. The new alignment will be constructed south of the existing roadway.
Between 2010 and 2014, there were 24 vehicular crashes, with 12 resulting in property damage, 11 included personal injury, and one fatality along this stretch of S.R. 327. This project aims to increase roadway safety by adjusting the horizontal alignment of the road, improving sight distance and upgrading the road to current standards.
