Affordable Connectivity Program

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) is a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) program that replaces the Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB Program) to help low-income households pay for internet service and connected devices.

If your household is eligible, you can receive:

  • Up to a $30/month discount on your internet service
  • Up to a $75/month discount if your household is on qualifying Tribal lands
  • A one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer (with a co-payment of more than $10 but less than $50)

Only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household. To receive the connected device discount, consumers need to enroll in the ACP with a participating provider that offers connected devices (Note: not all internet company offer device discounts.) The internet company will provide the discount to the consumer.

Federal Communications Commission - Telehealth

$200 Million: For the Federal Communications Commission to support the efforts of health-care providers to address coronavirus by providing telecommunications services, information services, and devices necessary to enable the provision of telehealth services.

  • The FCC’s “Keep Americans Connected Initiative,” ties right into our mission of connecting Americans for the future.
  • The Program will provide immediate support to eligible health care providers responding to the pandemic by fully funding their telecommunications services, information services, and devices necessary to provide critical connected care services.
  • Telehealth Program is limited to sort by nonprofit and public eligible health care providers that fall within the categories of health care providers in section 254(h)(7)(B) of the 1996 Act.
  • This is NOT a grant program.
  • DUE DATE: No deadline has been set for the filing of COVID-19 Telehealth Program applications.  Applications may be filed beginning at 12:00 PM (ET) on April 13, 2020, and funding decisions will be made on a rolling basis.  The Commission will continue to accept and review applications until the funding is exhausted or the current COVID-19 pandemic has ended.

Public Health Data Surveillance and Infrastructure Modernization

$500 Million: Funding to invest in better COVID-19 tools and build state and local public health data infrastructure.

  • The CDC's Public Health Data Modernization Initiative is designed to invest in new and upgraded technologies that detect, track and analyze trends around disease outbreaks.
  • Efforts include modernizing current software systems and tools, increasing interoperability with stakeholder systems, coordinating IT investments and expanding public and private partnerships to monitor the spread of viruses and other health issues. Another initiative flags needed enhancements to the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System to improve data collection, sharing and analysis across the public-health sector as well as acceleration of electronic laboratory reporting.

FCC – Rural Digital Opportunity Fund (RDOF)

The RDOF Phase I auction took place in October 2020 and targeted over six million homes and businesses in census blocks that are entirely unserved by voice and broadband with speeds of at least 25/3 Mbps. Phase II will cover locations in census blocks that are partially served, as well as locations not funded in Phase I.

USDA ReConnect Loan and Grant Program

The ReConnect Program offers loans, grants, and loan-grant combinations to facilitate broadband deployment in areas of rural America that currently do not have sufficient access to broadband. In facilitating the expansion of broadband services and infrastructure, the program will fuel long-term rural economic development and opportunities in rural America.

  • Eligible Applicants:
    • Corporations
    • Limited Liability Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships
    • Cooperatives or mutual organizations
    • States or local governments, including any agency, subdivision, instrumentality of political subdivision thereof
    • A territory or possession of the United States
    • An Indian Tribe, as defined in Section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (25 U.S.C. ยง450b)

E-Rate Funds - Federal Communications Commission (FCC)

Schools and Libraries are eligible for federal funding to deploy broadband to facilities in Indiana. The Indiana State Library oversees the program.
