Comprehensive school health education curricula provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to make healthful decisions for themselves and promote good health among others. Structured health education should be delivered by qualified and trained teachers on topics such as nutrition, substance use and abuse, mental and emotional health, personal health, physical activity, and safety.
