Primary Voting During Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Indiana's Primary Election will be held on June 2nd,but there may be limited or restricted access to in-person early voting or primary election day due to COVID-19. However, there are two other options where you can vote safely: Vote by Mail and Traveling Board.

- You do not need to provide a reason to request your absentee ballot.
- General Absentee Voting Information
- Ways to request your absentee ballot:
- Apply Online: https://indianavoters.in.gov/- click on "Vote By Mail or Traveling Board".
- Apply via mail or email: Absentee Ballot Paper Application
- If you are applying via email, be sure you get a clear picture of the paper application.
- County Clerk's Office Email List (scroll to bottom of the webpage)
- Call the Indiana Election Division at 317-232-3939 to request an absentee ballot application to be sent to you.
- Ballot application needs to be recieved by the County Clerk's office by May 21st.
- Traveling Board- can apply to any voters impacted by COVID-19
- Must meet one of the following criteria:
- You are ill or injuried;
- You are caring for a confined person at a private residence; OR
- You are a voter with disabilities and believe that your polling location is not accessible to you.
- Apply to request the Traveling Board:

- Apply via mail or email: Traveling Board Paper Application

- Traveling Board
- The request should be done in advance to the Primary Election.
- Healthcare Professionals are allowed to serve as a traveling board member to take voter's ballot.

- Vote By Mail
- You will recieve a ballot packet from your county clerk's office. Be sure to look through your packet and read instructions throughly.
- The ballot packet will contain:
- Pre-paid and pre-addressed envelope
- Ballot Instructions
- Small Ballot Envelope
- Ballot Card
- Candidate List
- Your official ballot needs to be recieved by the County Clerk's office by June 2nd.
