Third Party Administrators (TPA)

Application for Licensure

An entity is not required to hold a license as an administrator in this state if the entity exclusively provides services to one or more bona fide employee benefit plans each of which is established by an employer or an employee organization, or both, and for which the insurance laws of this state are preempted pursuant to the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, 29 U.S.C. ยง 1001 et seq.

An administrator is not required to hold a license as an administrator in this state if all the following conditions are met:
a.     The administrator has its principle place of business in another state;
b.     The administrator is not soliciting business as an administrator in this state; and
c.     In the case of any group policy or plan of insurance serviced by the administrator, less than one hundred (100) certificate holders reside in this state.

Alaska Missouri
Delaware New Hampshire
Florida New Jersey
Idaho West Virginia
Kansas 

All TPA renewals are to be submitted electronically.  Renewal will not be available until a renewal invoice is generated, which is a minimum of 70 days prior to the expiration date of license.  Once renewal invoice is received the license can be renewed at www.sircon.com/Indiana.  Once the renewal is approved applicant can print current license from the Sircon website.  IDOI will no longer email the license.
