The State of Indiana encourages carpooling as a way to decrease congestion, reduce emissions on NO-ZONE action days, and save state employees money.
Special parking areas in the Senate Avenue and Washington Street garages are designated for individuals who carpool with other state employees and who have a carpool hang tag. In order to participate in the carpooling program, two or more state employees must complete the Preferred Parking Program Application. The carpooling forms must be submitted to aco@idoa.in.gov. Upon approval, a special hanging tag will be issued which entitles the vehicle to park in the designated area.
