The term length of a Rule 6 permit is five years. IDEM has established the Notice of Intent receipt date as the actual start of permit coverage for all new submittals. Upon renewal of a permit, the “effective date” will begin on the expiration date of the previous five year permit term.
Permits are required to be renewed Ninety (90 days) prior to the expiration of the permit (Permit Renewal).
