Indianapolis-The Indiana Civil Rights Commission (ICRC) and the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana (FHCCI) will conduct a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminar for attorneys and legal professionals in Indianapolis Friday, October 4, 2013 at the Indiana Government Conference Center. The free training, covering the Fair Housing Law, will be worth 5.0 CLE credits.

“It is important that we reach every corner of the state in our education and outreach efforts,” said Jamal L. Smith, Executive Director of the ICRC. “We want to ensure that legal professionals are familiar with recent cases and any changes in legislation. We are very excited to be working with the Fair Housing Center of Central Indiana.”

The seminar, which begins at 9:00 am, will be led by Robert G. Schwemm who is an Ashland-Spears Distinguished Research Professor of Law at the University of Kentucky School of Law. For more information about the seminar visit: http://indyoctober4.eventbrite.com/

The CLE in Indianapolis is just one in a series of nine seminars in the ICRC’s 2013 Statewide Continuing Legal Education Program. Each of the program’s seminars are free to attend and will focus on local, state and federal anti-discrimination laws.
