The Indiana State Archives offers unpaid internships to provide students and recent graduates with an opportunity to learn about history, archives, and state government’s role in the preservation of cultural resources.
Internship opportunities are available in the areas of document conservation, records indexing, metadata processing, as well as historical and field research. Interns are expected to provide 20 to 40 hours of service each week during the internship term between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. This program is offered during spring, summer, and fall semesters. Interns may be eligible for academic credit. Preference will be given to candidates with a major in museum studies, library science, history, preservation, archaeology, or another related field.
