State Government: How to Use the General Retention Schedule
The General Retention Schedule for Indiana state government agencies contains basic record-types created by most state government agencies, which may be used by any state government agency.
For records unique to a specific agency or division, use the Retention Schedule search page. If an agency has been granted an exception to the General Retention Schedule (for instance, Records Center storage for a record type that most other agencies keep in the office), this will also be located on their agency-specific schedule, with its status as an exception noted in the description.
