Register Your Thoroughbred Stallion Online Due by October 15 of the year prior to the breeding season. Stallions may be registered through July 1 of the breeding season year with a late fee. Stallions must be registered prior to covering any mares. For new stallions, the late fee is waived.

In order for a foal to be classified as Indiana Sired, the stallion must be registered the year the foal was conceived. The deadline for registering a stallion is October 15th prior to the breeding season (February 1 through July 1) which the stallion is standing in Indiana. A new stallion to Indiana may be registered after the October 15th deadline, but if a stallion has been previously registered in Indiana and misses the deadline, there is a late fee of $250 required.
If you move your stallion(s):
The IHRC must know where your horse is located during the required residency timeframe(s). You may notify us by submitting the Change of Residency form either online by clicking here or by printing out the form and either mailing or faxing the form to our office at:
