The Indiana Horse Racing Commission offers a paid internship to provide students and recent graduates an opportunity to learn about the Indiana Horse Racing industry and state government’s role in assuring the adherence to Indiana racing policies and standards.
Interns are expected to provide an average of 37.5 hours a week, including some weekend and evening hours. This position is required to work on holidays and requires state wide travel.
Applicants must be able to commit to working through mid-August. Additional work opportunities are available most Saturdays from September through mid-October, based on intern’s availability. Preference will be given to candidates with previous equine related experience.
The successful applicant will be required to obtain their Indiana track license, including a mandatory background check.
