About the Thornbrough Lecture

The Thornbrough Lecture is the annual fall IAH lecture named for sisters and professional historians Gayle and Emma Lou Thornbrough. Emma Lou Thornbrough (1913-1994) was a teacher, researcher, and author who left a profound mark on Indiana history. Gayle Thornbrough (1914-1999) made he contribution as editor, librarian, and administrator.
