Join us via Zoom for a lunch and learn Hoosier Women at Work Mini-Con on Wednesday, December 8 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Since the celebrations surrounding the 2020 suffrage centennial, Indiana historians have uncovered new stories about women’s suffrage and citizenship work and honed their women’s history research skills. Additionally, institutions have made more resources available for researchers. Notably, the Indiana State Library has digitized eight scrapbooks created by leading Indiana suffragist Grace Julian Clarke, a treasure trove of newly accessible material relevant to many areas of women’s history.
Hear from a panel of five historians and scholars on the significance of Grace Julian Clarke, how to use the scrapbooks, and women’s history resources accessible around Indiana, as well as the state of the Indiana suffrage research and work remaining to be accomplished. Attendees are encouraged to share other Indiana history resources and updates during an open forum discussion.
This conference is presented by the Hoosier Women at Work History Conference and made possible by a grant from Indiana Humanities.
