Social emotional learning overview

"Social and emotional learning is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.” – The Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning

The Indiana Department of Education has developed Social Emotional Learning Competencies along with toolkits and resources to guide schools through implementation. The information can all be found on the IDOE Social, Emotional and Behavioral Wellness website.
