Loan Repayment Assistance Program for Mental Health and Addiction Professionals
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA), Division of Mental Health and Addiction, is the legislated agency to administer the Mental Health and Addiction Services Loan Repayment Assistance Program for the State of Indiana. The program was enacted by House Bill 1360 in 2014 to provide loan repayment assistance to eligible addiction psychiatrists, psychiatrists, psychologists, psychiatric nurses, addiction counselors, and mental health professionals, who are licensed (or on a licensure track) accepting a new position or establishing a new practice in Indiana. The purpose of the program is to expand Indiana's workforce, within the specified practice areas, by the recruitment and retention of mental health and addiction professionals.
