The Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) is to be composed of elected state and local officials and representatives from:
- Broadcast and print media
- Community groups
- Emergency management
- Emergency medical services
- Firefighting
- Health
- Hospital management
- Law enforcement
- Local environmental management
- Owners and operators of facilities storing and using Title III chemicals
- Transportation
Emergency Response Plan
The LEPC is charged with developing an emergency response plan to deal with accidental chemical releases from Title III facilities in Spencer County and with making available to the general public chemical information submitted by those facilities.
