Maternal & Child Health

Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Coordinator is dedicated to building a healthier community by promoting the health and well-being of women before, during, and after pregnancy, as well as the health and development of infants and children. By connecting families with vital resources and programs, they are able to support healthy pregnancies, safe deliveries, and thriving children.

Through the Monroe County Health Department, the MCH Coordinator offers services, information, and assistance with resources that aim to create a supportive environment and improve maternal and child health outcomes, such as:

  • Prenatal and postpartum care resources
  • Nutrition education and support
  • Safe sleep education and crib distribution
  • Car seat safety inspections
  • Maternal tobacco cessation program

The Maternal and Child Health office is located at 119 W. 7th St. on the main level. If you are a community member seeking assistance with services and resources, contact our MCH coordinator at (812) 349-2075.
