Duties of the Auditor

Financial

  • Budget Preparation for County Council
  • Preparation of County Annual Financing Report
  • Addition Appropriations
  • Transfers of Funds
  • Payroll for all County Employees
  • Employee Benefits
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable

Property Taxation

  • Manages filing and application of property deductions to property tax, including tax abatements
  • Maintains property ownership records
  • Handles all real property transfers of ownership
  • Tax sale publications, records of sale and tax title deeds
  • Preserves plat maps and parcel lines on the Couty GIS system

Secretarial

  • Secretary to the County Commissioners
  • Secretary to the County Council
