Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (CARES Act)

Purpose

The Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) is now accepting applications for the 2020-2021 Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) supplemental funds through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Read the Request for Proposals here.

This one time supplemental funding provides flexibility in how you use the funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency as needs evolve within your community. Funding may support a wide range of in-scope activities including counseling, mobile advocacy, telehealth, peer support, shelter and temporary housing, rental assistance and nominal relocation expenses, supplies, and equipment and software to assist in carrying out remote services.

Eligibility

Current recipients of FVPSA funding through ICJI for the grant period of October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2020, are eligible to apply for this supplemental funding.

Please fill out the following TWO documents and send them to Victim Services Division Director, Kim Lambert at kilambert@cji.in.gov. Deadline to apply is 11:59 P.M. (ET) on Monday, June 1, 2020.
