|
Event Description:
Spring Mill State Park will host the Indiana Historical Society’s traveling exhibit "The Faces of the Civil War," Sept. 13 through Oct. 14.
The exhibit tells about Indiana citizens whose lives were changed by the Civil War, focusing on the stories of ordinary citizens during that time, through hands-on, interactive elements. It will be set up in the grist mill in the Pioneer Village and is being sponsored by the Friends of Spring Mill State Park group.
Abraham Lincoln will be at the village in the afternoon of Sept. 13, as well as on Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. and Sept. 15 at 1:30 p.m. He will be portrayed by Danny Russel. There will also be a dinner with “Lincoln” on Sept. 14 at 6:30 p.m. His appearance is sponsored by a grant from Lawrence County Tourism.
Also on Sept. 14, the musical group Left Field will perform at 2:30 p.m. |
