Event Description:
People with Disabilities and Friends Fishing is a fishing event for people with a disability who would like to learn more about fishing, would like to go fishing, are interested in eating fish, or just want to spend some time outdoors with others.
During the event, participants are invited to visit stations that focus on fundamental skills: water safety, casting, knot tying, and fish ID. After the station portion of the event, there will be drawings for door prizes donated by Cabela’s. Participants will then have the opportunity to fish in Delaware Lake from the fishing pier. Fishing will be catch and release, but staff will have fish on the grill ready for participants to try.
All supplies, and volunteers to assist, will be provided.
