Event Description: Ghostly Gathering
Friday, October 25
My Pet Ghost from 4 to 6 p.m.
Activity Center: Shelter
DROP BY to design a jar to keep your very own pet ghost in – the perfect companion for long October nights! We’ll have a variety of materials for you to decorate with. $2 per project craft fee (cash only, please!); limited to 40 participants (first-come first-served). Project takes 30 to 45 minutes to complete; no new starts after 5:30 p.m.!
Stories by the Campfire at 7:45 p.m. Please arrive on time!
Activity Center: Amphitheater
Sip cider and munch on cookies while listening to both spooky folk legends and real-life tales of murder and mischief from our pre-reservoir days… Bench seating is limited; we encourage you to bring your own chairs! 45 minutes

Creepy, Crawly Crafts from 1 to 3 p.m.
Activity Center: Shelter
Drop by to make a few creepy, crawly crafts for Halloween! Children under age 13 should be accompanied by an adult helper (thanks!).
Costume Contest at 4:00 p.m.
Activity Center: Amphitheater
We want to see all of your crazy and creative costumes! Dress up and “walk the runway” for your fellow campers. Please be respectful of others by wearing family-friendly costumes.

Dog (dress up your 4-legged family member!)
Individual Age 0-3
Individual Age 4-6
Individual Age 7-9
Individual Age 10-12
Individual Age 13-17
Individual Age 18+
Group (entries are ineligible for the Individual Age categories!)

Trick-or-Treating from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Campground (A-Loops)
Children (in age and spirit!) are invited to wander the Campground this evening in search of delicious treats! Please be cautious of vehicles on the roads; for safety reasons, at least one adult should accompany each group of children. Campers are encouraged to support this event by handing out candy at their campsites! If you are participating, please sit in a visible spot near the road.
Campsite Decorating Contest!
from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
We want to see lots of creative and creepy campsites! Every decorated campsite is automatically entered into the contest. Each CAMPSITE receives ONE VOTING BALLOT upon check-in for the weekend. Walk the Campground between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, pick your favorite decorated campsite, and turn your ballot in to the Campground Gate by 10 p.m. Prizes will go to the two campsites that receive the most votes, plus a third “staff choice” winner. The winning campsites will be posted at the Campground Gatehouse by 12 p.m. Sunday and on our Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/monroelake) by 5 p.m. Sunday. Prizes will be distributed via mail to the registered name/address listed for each winning campsite.
Ghostly Gathering Halloween Party!
from 8 to 9:30 p.m. at the Activity Center
We’re throwing a party and you’re invited! Games, activities, and refreshments... something for all ages. Activities will take place both in and outside the building, so please dress for the temperature. |
