[DCS] DCS Appoints Lori Reinhart Director in Gibson County

PRINCETON, Ind. (July 7, 2014)The Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) announced today Lori Reinhart has been appointed the office director for the Indiana Department of Child Services, Gibson County office. In her new role Reinhart will set goals and objectives for child welfare management helping to ensure children are protected from abuse or neglect. In addition, she’ll oversee a staff of 16 that includes family case managers, supervisors and administrative assistants. She’ll also handle general office operations. 

“Lori brings a wealth of experience with her and we’re pleased to have her take the reins for Gibson County,” said Jane Bisbee, DCS’ Deputy Director of Field Operations. “Her background of working with foster children as well as her experience as both a DCS family case manager and supervisor will be invaluable to her as she helps strengthen families in Gibson County.” 

A native of Gibson County, Reinhart grew up in Ft. Branch. Starting her career in 2003 at Bright Horizons Child Care in Princeton, she joined Debra Corn Specialized Family Care in Winslow in 2004 to work with foster children. 

In 2006 Reinhart joined Indiana State Government and began working for the Gibson County DCS office as a family care manager. In 2008 she was promoted to supervisor. She transferred to the Vanderburgh County office of DCS and worked as a supervisor there until her appointment to director of the Gibson County office. 

A graduate of the University of Southern Indiana, Reinhart holds a Bachelor of Science degree in education. 

She began her new duties June 30.
