Discover the River - Rafting and Education in Sullivan County returns September 29th through October 2nd, 2008

In the early fall every 8th grader in Sullivan County spends a day on the Wabash. They paddle rafts for most of the day, learning from river educators and enjoying a nature hunt. After lunch they spend an hour or two on a sandbar with stations designed to teach water lore & science. Home on the bus at their usual time with a new T-shirt and a better understanding of water and the Wabash! 12th grade surveys reveal that their one day trip on this big river has become the highest rated influence of their entire pre-college education!
