The 2009 Season in Review
The Lawn opened it’s 1-800-Quit-Now Concert Series in May with Fall Out Boy, Cobra Starship and Metro Station and concluded the season at the end of September with the Indy Jazzfest featuring Brandford Marsalis. Nearly 50,000 people enjoyed the music at this downtown venue and voted it the Best Place to See a Concert in the annual Nuvo People’s Choice awards.
The 2009 line-up was the longest and most diverse of any of the seasons. In addition to the shows listed above, music lovers listened to O.A.R., 311, Ziggy Marley, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra playing the music of Led Zeppelin, the Offspring, the Fray, Incubus, Crosby Stills and Nash, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal and the Moody Blues.
Celebrating its 6th year, the Lawn continues to offer some of the best music in the City in a picturesque setting at White River State Park.
We look forward to another great season of music and entertainment in 2010.
