For the last three years, the Lawn at White River State Park has been named one of the top 100 outdoor concert venues in the world by Pollstar magazine.
The 2008 Season in Review
In 2008, the Lawn at White River State Park became The WhiteLies.tv Lawn and the home of the 2008 National City Concert Series. The season included nine concerts featuring a wide range of entertainment from classic rock acts to new up and coming artists.
Artists included: Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Death Cab for Cutie, “Weird Al” Yankovic, Jason Mraz, Gavin DeGraw, Umphrey’s McGee, STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9), Wilco, Boys Like Girls, Good Charlotte, Metro Station, O.A.R., Ozomatli and Alice Cooper.
Celebrating its 5th year in 2008 , the Lawn continues to be one of Indianapolis’ best locations to watch a concert and was voted #1 by both the readers of NUVO and Indianapolis Woman’s magazine.
