Your journey begins at the Old National Road Welcome Center , where you'll pick up your complimentary Chocolate Trail Passport to receive a complimentary chocolate specialty at each stop along the trail.

First stop - Ghyslain Chocolatier & Bistro located in Richmond’s Historic Depot District . Ghyslain’s signature line of artisan chocolates combines the finest chocolate, eclectic ingredients and techniques to create tasty little works of art. The Bistro also serves mouth-watering entrees for lunch and dinner besides extraordinary desserts, authentic gelato and, of course, its chocolates.

Parker’s General Store will treat you to a scoop of local-made chocolate ice cream. As you enjoy, browse the store's endless array of foods, vintage toys, candy, kitchen accessories and gift items.

A downtown Richmond landmark since 1909, Olympian Candy follow the original Greek recipe to produce their chocolate creams. Offering nine flavors, all hand-dipped in milk and dark chocolate, these creams are luscious, decadent tastebud pleasers.

In Hagerstown, Abbott’s Candy Shop is sure to please. Housed in a large, pink building the Abbott family still makes its delicious chocolates and soft, buttery caramels from the original 1890 formulas. As you enjoy your free sample, watch the candy making process in action.

In Cambridge City, Pour House Antiques & Sweets produces homemade fudge daily. They also serve up gourmet coffees and teas, homemade pies, cakes, sandwiches while you feast your eyes upon the antiques and accents.  

In Centerville, put a smile on your face with a chocolate-scented votive candle at Warm Glow Candles . Peruse their 11,000 square feet facility of candles, home decor, bath & body products, then, grab a snack at the in-store Stone Hearth Cafe.

Finish up with a sample of chocolate wine at J & J Winery . Then, stay for dinner. J & J serves up a delicious menu of sandwiches, wood-fired pizzas, salads and award-winning wines, making it the perfect end to your deciant journey.
