About this trip idea
Fly Over the Great Wall to China at The Children's Museum of Indianapolis
The largest children's museum in the world, and named one of the best by Child magazine, is a five-level playground of interactive exhibits exploring art, science, history and culture, a Dinosphere and planetarium.
This summer The Children's Museum of Indianapolis will host the global premiere of the greatest archaeological find of our lifetime, the Terra Cotta Warriors. Visitors will get an in-depth look at China's first emperor and his painted warriors and see the science behind warriors' paint — and of the 8,000 warriors found, each was painted differently. One hundred artifacts will be on display through November 2014, in addition to 10-12 warriors, all of which will be leaving China for the first time.
Dine with the Whole Family
The key to a successful getaway can be finding the right restaurant for little ones. Scotty's Brewhouse is an Indiana favorite that pleases kids and parents alike. Parents will love the innovative "menu creations" and the kick-back atmosphere, and the little ones will enjoy kid-friendly menu options. Plus, kids eat free every Tuesday and Sunday. Other great options include Mug 'n Bun, The Old Spaghetti Factory and The Flying Cupcake.
