Hang out in White River State Park just a hop, skip and jump away from the heart of downtown Indianapolis. Get close to the animals at the Indianapolis Zoo . Touch sharks, feed a giraffe by hand, go eye to eye with cheetahs and nose to nose with dolphins. You’ll hear plenty of “ohhhhs,” as your kids learn about Indiana’s ever-changing history at Indiana State Museum . Catch a 3D movie on the IMAX big screen. Enjoy lunch at the elegant L.S. Ayres Tea Room, a re-creation of the original 1905 downtown restaurant or grab a quick bite at the Canal Café & Terrace.
If you're a sports fan, learn about outstanding student-athletes from around the nation at the NCAA Hall of Champions . And, during baseball season, find out why Sports Illustrated calls Victory Field , home of the Indianapolis Indians, the best Minor League ballpark in America.
