While this fall festival honors John Chapman, a.k.a. Johnny Appleseed, the legendary planter of apple trees, it also is a chance to sample apples, apples, apples. So be sure to savor the oversized Braeburn apples hand-dipped in creamy caramel.
The food and crafts available at this festival are only items that would have been available in Chapman’s time. Vendors are required to wear period clothing, cooking must be done over an open fire, and vendors may only sell products, demonstrate trades and provide entertainment which would have been available in the 1800s.
