Science Central

Spark your imagination at Science Central, northeast Indiana’s premier hands-on science center, located in downtown Fort Wayne. Bring the family for a day of fun devoted to science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. You’ll be captivated by more than 120 hands-on exhibits and daily science demonstrations and activities, with something for kids of all ages. Come zip down our giant slide, take a walk on the moon, stand in a tornado, or ride a bike suspended in midair. And don’t miss Science Central's newest exhibit, Science On a Sphere. The first of its kind in Indiana, this dynamic, animated global display system was developed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The exhibit uses computers and video projectors to show planetary data on a six-foot sphere. It is a “must see” exhibit at Science Central, providing real-time imagery from NOAA, and featuring a world-wide look at global weather, and historical events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanos that have happened on Earth. You’ll experience what astronauts have seen with NASA images of the planets and moons of our solar system. Come and learn how fun science can be at Fort Wayne’s Science Central!
