This indoor market has been in operation since 1911. It started on the Colfax Bridge but outgrew that when thousands of buyers would come on a single day. It finally moved to its current location in 1928. The newest building was erected in 1972 after the former building was destroyed by fire. But enough about history – here’s what you’ll find today: fresh produce, dairy products, meats, poultry, jams, flowers, artwork and many more unique items. Plan to stay awhile because you can take a break in the popular restaurant located in the center of the market.
