Since 1998, Lyles Station, Indiana has been the setting for the Lyles Station New Beginnings Celebration, held each Labor Day
weekend on the grounds of the Lyles Station Historic School & Museum.
This festival is a celebration of Indiana’s last remaining African-American settlement and Historic Landmark.
and is renowned for its food, featuring barbecued meats prepared on-site by the men of Lyles Station.
The New Beginnings Celebration serves to raise awareness of the Lyles Station community as well as raise funds for support
of Lyles Station Historic School and Museum.
