Our area Labor Day Celebration is not only the oldest in the State of Indiana, but possibly the second oldest celebration in the nation. The first Labor Day Celebration in this area was held in 1886 in Princeton, Indiana.
Carnival rides start at 5pm on Friday, and go through Monday afternoon. No matter what age you are, if you have beauty or talent, the Labor Day Celebration has something for you.
From the cutest baby contest to the tiny toddler, from the junior miss to the queen pageant, all will be represented. Other events you can check out over the weekend are the Indiana Picking & Fiddling Contest, motocross races, demolition derby, gospel sing, car show, and poker run. There will be something for the whole family at the Gibson County Fairgrounds.
