Feast of the Hunters Moon

Indiana was once dotted with the settlements of early-European trappers and hunters. The Feast of the Hunters Moon recreates the fall gathering of the French and the Native Americans that occurred annually at Fort Ouiatenon. Indiana owes much to its Native American heritage and this festival celebrates the rich heritage of friendship between these two peoples. Historical re-enactments, period clothing, and authentic foodstuffs make this event on the banks of the Wabash River a celebration like no other.
