Heritage Day at Johnson County Museum in Franklin is an entertaining day full of interactive exhibits, live music and hands-on activities for all ages!
Meet Abraham Lincoln from 11AM-1PM, visit a Civil War encampment with costumed re-enactors, enjoy live fiddle music, watch a blacksmith, whittlers and weavers at work, sample apple butter made over an open fire and tour Hendricks cabin, a part of Johnson County history since the early 1800s. Children can make historical crafts, play traditional games and learn about Johnson County artifacts through the museum scavenger hunt.
